YumeTwins is a kawaii goods box shipped worldwide from Tokyo! Each box includes 6 to 8 cute licensed items from popular Japanese brands. They include a variety of things, like plushies, home goods, stationary, and squishies. They focus on curating a selection of unique and quality goods around a monthly theme.

The theme for September 2018 is “Staycation.” They picked items around the idea of taking a vacation at/near to home. I think the theme is really cute, and it lends itself well for an end-of-summer box. The box includes six items and a paper booklet. The booklet tells you about each item, as well as contests, referral programs, and kawaii culture information. There’s also a digital version, which you can access on their website.

Cute Zipper Bags

These plastic zipper bags come in six different character designs, such as Pokemon and My Melody. I got these adorable Pikachu bags! I love that the way the design is on the clear bags makes them look like jars. And because they are clear, you can easily see what’s inside. The bags are food safe, but you can use them for whatever you’d like.

Sanrio Eco Bag

This reusable eco-bag comes in six different signs from either Little Twin Stars or My Melody. You can fold it up into a square, and the bag has a button closure to keep things relatively secure when you’re using it. I got a purple My Melody design, and the plastic feels durable and easy to clean if need be. I always use eco bags for my groceries, so this is a fun addition to my collection.

Character Toothbrush Kit

This toothbrush kit is included for your overnight staycations. It comes in either a Totoro or Hello Kitty design. It includes a cup, lid, and toothbrush. I got the Hello Kitty travel design. It’s a cute item! I don’t know if I’ll use the toothbrush, since I’m particular about things like that, but it matches the theme well and would be convenient for short trips.

Onsen Bird Plushies

This month’s plush is themed around onsen, which are Japanese hot springs. Onsens are a really popular activity when you’re on vacation or just need a bit of time to relax. These Onsen Birds all have different designs. My plush has a cute little cherry blossom on it’s head, a towel, and you can see the squiggly symbol for onsen on it’s back.

Disney Tsum Tsum Tumbler

This plastic water bottle (or tumbler) is decorated with a Disney Tsum Tsum pattern. It seems sturdy, and I like that the pattern covers the entire water bottle.  There are a few different designs you can get, all centered around the little round Disney characters.

Marumofubiyori Sticky Notes

The last item is a set of Marumofubiyori sticky notes from Sanrio. There are eight different designs, all featuring the cozy polar bear. They’re long and thin sticky notes, ideal for marking pages and/or important points.

Overall, I liked the theme of this month’s box. I didn’t have as many favorites, but that’s just because I prefer certain characters over others. My favorite item was the Pikachu Zipper Bags, since they’re super cute and very practical! I also like that they included an eco-bag and a tumblr. I like that this kawaii box includes a lot of things for everyday use.
