Dispatch: On the Run Box 3

If you’ve ever watched a crime show on TV and tried to solve the murder mystery on your own, this box may be for you! Introducing Dispatch by Breakout Games, a subscription box which asks you to buckle down and throw on your detective hat.  This subscription box is delivered to your door monthly for the cost of $24.99. If you sign up to receive their newsletter right now you can get $10 off! There are absolutely no obligations and you can opt out at any time.

For this subscription box review, I will be reviewing box 3 of the On the Run series.

Up to this point, my husband and I have sifted through and conquered the first two boxes of challenging and exciting murder mystery clues. This box does not compare. This box was HARD. This box challenges how seriously committed you are to solving Victoria Van Kress’ murder and liberating our friend James.

Upon opening the box, you can see there are several items.

The card below outlines which items are included in box 3. (I will not be going through each item as to allow the game some element of surprise!)

Right off the bat, you can see there is a ton of information and challenges, including a sudoku puzzle, fingertips, origami instructions and paper, and several eye witness accounts.

There’s another note on a hotel sheet of paper:

Standard with boxes one and two there are several newspaper articles and magazine clippings.

A few items seem a bit odd but James is a smart fellow and there is clearly a reason for this nonsense. Like what are we supposed to do with this James?

As my childhood best friend, James should’ve known I’m not very good at Sudoku puzzles too.

This fan was also pretty fun. There is some hidden text in one of the folds. Regardless if I knew what it meant, I enjoyed it’s use in these odd NY 100 degree days!

There was also some mysterious air mail from Japan… hmm…

Overall, this box was tough. Picture yourself in the impossible escape room at the mall and multiple that by 3. You’re going to need a lot of time to wrap your mind around this one and conquer your tasks. You have to though, because James is depending on you!

Just a reminder too, you NEED to save previous boxes. For example, this box required an object received in Box 2.

This girl is ready for box 4- we are getting SO MUCH CLOSER.

This box is a PR sample. No compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
