This is a review of January’s box.  The above picture shows everything in this month’s box.

Since August, they have been putting everything in an Ipsy-like gold foil mailer rather than the signature box that they used to send.

Answer 19+ Pore Minimizer Mask (~$1.50) – Although Answer 19+ is still a newer brand to me, I’ve actually tried this mask before. It contains several flower extracts, royal jelly extract, hydrolyzed collagen and several root extracts for soothing, anti-sebum and pore minimizing. The mask came out the packaging soaked with essence. I didn’t detect much scent to it. The fit and attachment were pretty good for a cotton mask. I had it on for 30mins and my skin felt moisturized, tightened, and calmed. It left a matte finish on my skin. This is a mask that I would definitely repurchase.

Skinfood Bird’s Nest Mask (~$1) – Skinfood is definitely one of my favorite brands for skincare. I have not tried too many of their sheetmasks though lol. The active ingredient in this mask is Swiftlet Nest extract for skin hydration. The mask came out the packaging wet and there’s no leftover essence. The creamy essence has a fruity scent which surprised me a little. The attachment power is really nice. After 30mins, my skin felt tightened and hydrated. It’s surprisingly good for a basic hydrating mask like this!

A’Pieu Sweet Grapefruit Sheet Mask (~$1) – I have tried the melon and peach versions from the same line. This mask contains Grapefruit extract (2000 ppm) and sparkling water (2000 ppm) for skin soothing and moisturizing. I’ve always loved A’pieu’s cute packaging, but somehow I really like the simple design of this mask’s packaging. The mask came out packaging soaked with essence and it has a refreshing citrusy scent. The attachment and fit of the mask were great for a cotton mask. I had the mask on for 30mins. My face felt moisturized and refreshed. It also left a matte finish on my skin which I love. This one retails for about $1, which I think it’s such an awesome price for what it is. Definitely would recommend it for ANYONE who is looking for an affordable basic hydrating and soothing sheetmask!

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask Kiwi (~$2) – I’ve always been a big fan of Innisfree’s it’s real squeeze mask line. The kiwi mask contains kiwi and grapefruit extracts for a smooth, clear and bright looking skin. The mask came out the packaging wet and soaked with fruity scented essence. It’s probably the first It’s real squeeze mask I’ve tried that had a cream-textured essence. I had it on for about 20mins, and my skin felt plumped and smooth afterwards. I definitely recommend these masks to kbeauty beginners and everyone!

Naisture 15 Minutes Mask Pack Lovely Strawberry (~$2.50) – I’ve tried a couple of Naisture’s masks before. If you have known me for a while, you probably know that I don’t like artificial berry scented products. Fortunately, this mask had no noticeable scent. It contains strawberry, grapefruit extracts and hydrolyzed collagen for sebum control, skin refreshing and moisturizing. The mask came out the packaging wet. I didn’t have much essence leftover either. The fit and attachment were not bad. After 15mins, my skin felt moisturized and no tackiness was detected.

Llang On The Skin Mask Sheet Tea (~$3) – How pretty is this mask’s packaging? I’ve always been drooling over these Llang masks on IG and I’m so happy to get to try it finally. The mask contains 0.1ppm black tea extract for skin brightening. The mask came out the packaging soaked with floral scent essence. It surprised me a little since I thought it’s gonna smell like tea lol. It had a really nice fit and attachment. My skin felt really moisturized and matte after 20mins. I didn’t really see any brightening effects though. It’s an overall really nice basic mask with pretty packaging.

Etude House 0.2mm Pearl Mask (~$2) – I’ve always loved Etude House’s 0.2mm masks, and the pearl one is definitely one of my favorite ones. This mask contains pearl extract, niacinamide and several leaf extracts for brightening and moisturizing effects. The mask came out the packaging soaked with essence. The mask material is very thin and soft. It attaches to my skin perfectly. The essence is unscented. My skin felt hydrated and a little bit brightened after 30mins.

Banobagi Vita Cocktail Aqua Foil Mask (~$3) – I have tried several BNBG masks and loved most of them.  This mask contains “Vita cocktail” ( Magnesium, calcium, vitamin liposome…) and hydrolyzed collagen for intensive skin moisturizing. It also has anti-wrinkle and whitening effects. The 2-piece mask has a blue foil coating on the outside, which prevents moisture vaporization. The mask came out packaging soaked with essence and it has a sweet floral scent. The attachment and fit of the mask were exceptional as you can see. I was actually really surprised by the attachment power since it’s a pretty heavy mask with the foil layer. I had the mask on for 30mins. I had LOTS of essence left on my face after removing the mask. My face felt soft and moisturized after I finally messaged the essence into my skin. I did notice the stickiness on my skin after the essence was absorbed though.  I didn’t apply my night cream before bed after masking and my face still felt hydrated the next morning. This one retails for about $3 each, which I think it’s not a bad price. I would recommend it if you have dry skin and don’t mind the tacky finish.

Overall, I could see this month’s Piibu box focused on skin brightening. I really liked most of the masks they picked out this month. I’d love to see more black or foil masks included in the future Piibu boxes.
