This is a review of January’s box.  The above picture shows everything in this month’s box.

Since August, they have been putting everything in an Ipsy-like gold foil mailer rather than the signature box that they used to send.

Leaders Insolution 7 Wonders Carribean Coconut Calming Mask (~$2) – The 7 Wonders masks from Leaders are one of my favorite lines of hydrogel masks. The coconut calming mask they included this month is actually my favorite out of all the flavors. This one contains Matricaria flower extract, coconut fruit extract, sugar maple extract…for calming, soothing and refreshing. I love the light floral scent. The fit and attachment of the mask were great. I had it on for about 30mins. My skin felt moisturized and calmed. These 7 wonders masks retail for $6-7, but you can usually get them for about $2-3 on sale somewhere. I think it’s a great deal for what it can deliver.

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask Bija (~$2) – The It’s Real Squeeze line is probably the most famous basic mask line that Innisfree has. I’ve tried many other ones but not the Bija mask. The key ingredient of this mask is fresh bija seed oil which helps with the appearance of skin problems while keeping it moisturized and clean. The mask came out the packaging soaked with essence. It didn’t have much scent. The fit and attachment were pretty good for a basic cotton mask. I had it on for 30mins and my skin felt moisturized and smooth. I think it’s a great choice for a basic hydrating mask.

Leaders Mediu Amino Propolis Mask (~$1.50) – I’ve seen Leaders’ amino masks everywhere on social media, but I haven’t tried too many of them. This particular one is “supplemented with serine component of amino acid which is a skin protein constituting unit, and it helps skin vitality and nutrition. It contains propolis extract + royal jelly extract + honey extract to moisturize the skin”. I’m big on propolis and royal jelly ingredients for their clarifying and hydrating effects. This one is a black mask and has a very light scent. The mask was soaked with essence and I had some leftover essence in the package as well. The fit was a bit small for my face. I had it on for about 40mins. My skin felt plumped and moisturized afterwards, however, I did notice some stickiness on my face.

A’Pieu Sweet Peach Sheet Mask ($2) – This is yet another popular mask that Piibubox included. I’ve tried and loved the melon version. It contains peach extracts (2000 ppm) for refreshing, moisturizing; yogurt extracts (2000 ppm) for skin brightening, skin softening and nutrition. The mask was wet out of the packaging, but I had a lot of essence leftover. It had a pleasant fruity scent and the fit was nice. I had it on for 20mins. My skin felt hydrated and matte after use. I’d definitely repurchase this one.

A’Pieu Icing Sweet Bar Sheet Mask – Hanrabong (~$1.50) – Yissss, I’m so happy that they included another flavor of the Icing Sweet Bar mask this month. This one contains 2000 ppm Hanarabong fruit extract for skin clarifying and brightening. The mask came out of the packaging soaked with essence. I loved the citrusy smell. The cotton mask was very thin. The mouth and eye holes were kind of small. My skin felt soft, moisturized and even slightly brightened after 30mins. This is another mask I will be repurchasing for sure.

The SAEM Pure Natural Snail Mask Sheet (~$2)- Piibu sent another scent of The SAEM pure natural mask this month. Snail is another of my favorite ingredient. This mask contains snail mucus (sounds weird but effective lol) for intensive hydrating and repairing. It also contains various root extracts for soothing and calming. The mask was wet out of the packaging. I didn’t sense too much smell from it. The fit and attachment were not bad. I had it on for 20mins. My skin felt moisturized and smooth. I would say it’s not bad for a basic mask, but I didn’t notice anything too special.

Nature Republic Real Nature Hydrogel Masks – Chamomile and Argan (2 x ~$2.50) – I was surprised that Piibu sent 3 hydrogel masks this month! I will talk about the two flavors of the Real Nature Hydrogel masks together. The chamomile mask is designed for soothing and the Argan one is for nourishing. Both masks contain sodium hyaluronate for skin hydrating. This is the two-piece type, which I actually really like. The mask material is relatively thick compared to most hydrogel masks which made them really easy to apply. The attachment and fit power were exceptional. I didn’t notice too much scent in either of them. I had the mask on for 30mins. I didn’t notice too much difference in effects between the two masks, but my skin felt very moisturized and tightened after using each mask. I’d repurchase these for sure just for what they can deliver at the price point.

Overall, I loved the selection of this month’s Piibubox. I’m really big on Hydrogel masks and they included 3 of them this month! I’m happy to see that more diverse brands are included as well as ingredients.
