This is a review of August’s box.  The above picture shows everything in this month’s box.

Since August, they have been putting everything in an Ipsy-like gold foil mailer rather than the signature box that they used to send.

This month, they sent 7 sheet masks and a lip patch.

Myconos Jelly Mask Deep Sea Whitening (~$1.50) – Myconos is a new brand for me. This mask contains sea water, seaweed extract, and niacinamide for skin whitening and hydrating. The mask came out the packaging soaked with the clear jelly type of essence. I had a lot of leftover essences. It is very highly-fragranced, which I’m ok with but not a huge fan of. The fit and attachment were not bad. I had it on for about 40mins. My skin felt hydrated with a little brightening effect.

Mediheal Platinum V-Life Essential Mask (~$1.50) – This might have been the 17268937th mask I’ve tried from Mediheal and it’s actually new to me! This mask is in their intensive care line. It contains Nano-platinum, Trehalose, and Pomegranate for skin firming and lifting. The mask material is “silk cellulose” that used long fiber extracted from cocoon for good adhesive. I did notice a very good attachment ability. Like most Mediheal masks, it has the typical unscented and soaked mask sheet. I had it on for about 30mins. I found that the essence was a bit harder to absorb into my skin compared to most Mediheal masks and a lot of other masks. My skin did feel hydrated and plumped after all the essence got absorbed.

Farmstay Cucumber Visible Difference Mask (~$1) – I believe this was the first Farmstay mask I’ve ever tried. The packaging certainly looks refreshing. This mask contains pearl extract to brighten dull skin,  glycerin & sodium hyaluronate to seal in moisture. I was surprised that the essence actually smelled like cucumber! I had it on for 30min. My face felt hydrated afterward. I think it’s a nice and affordable basic mask if you’re only aiming for some hydration.

Leaders Insolution Coconut Gel Mask with Broccoli (~$6) – This bio-cellulose mask is not new to me. It contains Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Broccoli Extract, Coconut Fruit Extract for calming and clarifying. It’s very similar to one of my HG gel masks, the 7 Wonders masks, in terms of fit and results. One of the best things about bio gel masks is the extraordinary attachment ability, which this mask definitely delivered. The essence has a sweet floral scent. I had it on for 30mins. My skin felt smooth, refreshed and hydrated. Definitely recommend for oily and combo skin gurls.

A’Pieu Chocolate Milk One Pack (~$1) – Chocolate Milk One Pack yaaaay! This is also not new to me, but I’m still happy that they included this mask coz I LOVE it! I’ve tried and loved all the Milk One packs so far. This mask contains Milk Extract that hydrates skin and prevents further dryness, Cacao Extract that sloughs off dead skin cells and helps maintain smoother skin and Japanese Apricot Extract that purifies skin leaving it cleaner and clearer. I love the yummy milk scent of the cloudy essence. My face felt smooth and soft after 30mins. Definitely a must-try mask if you haven’t!

It’s Skin Green Tea Watery Mask Sheet (~$1) – It’s skin is not a new brand to me, but I don’t think I’ve used too many of their sheet masks. This mask contains 1000ppm Green Tea extract, cucumber extract and Hinoki cypress water to provide hydration and soothing effects. The mask is also high-fragranced, but it didn’t smell like green tea. The mask material is very thin and it was soaked with plenty of essence. My skin felt very smooth and hyrdated after 30mins. I think this is another nice and basic mask.

Tonymoly I’m Real Lemon Mask Sheet Brightening (~$2) – The TM I’m Real mask line is such a famous sheetmask line in the Asian beauty community. However, this was my first time trying any masks from this line. (What?!!) The reason was that I heard too many negative comments about them. First thing first though, I love their packaging, the entire I’m Real line packaging. This mask contains 250mg lemon extract for skin brightening. The mask came out the packaging wet but not soaked with essence. It had a rubber type of smell instead of lemon. The mask material is stiff and the attachment is horrible…I had it on for about 20mins. The only thing I felt was my face being slightly moisturized. Well, now I have tried it, I have to say I agree with most of the comments I heard. It’s definitely not the worst sheetmask I have tried, but I don’t think I will be repurchasing it.

The Face Shop Cherry Cherry Lips Modeling Gel Patch (~$4) – Yaaay gel lip patches are so much fun! I’ve tried a few different brands of lip patches, but this is my first time trying The Face Shop one. This patch contains Chondrus Crispus (carrageenan), Cranberry Fruit Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Witch Hazel Extract, Licorice Root Extract for deep moisturizing. I love the sweet honey type of smell. The attachment was way better than most of lip patches I’ve tried. My lips felt soft and hydrated after 15mins. Definitely putting it on top of my list next time I shop for lip patches.

Overall, the theme of this month seems to be soothing and hydrating. I liked most of the masks, but the TFS lip patch was definitely a big surprise for me!
