Jacob’s Crate is a fun new subscription box for your pet! They offer three different boxes – a cat box which we’re reviewing today, a dog box, and a “blended” box which features both dog and cat toys for blended families.

Jacob’s Crate specializes in curating only the best pet toys and treats for our furry friends. All of our products are carefully researched before being chosen. Our cat and dogs toys are either handmade by local, specialty artisans or manufactured by well-known, trusted brands. Our pure, organic or grain-free treats are sourced only from the United States or Canada. We also support several pet rescue organizations through our “donate one can of pet food or toy for every box sold” program and by donating our time at rescue events.

The box is named “Jacob’s Crate” because that’s the name of the sweet little ginger cat belonging to Travis DesLaurier,  that went viral during the Summer in which he demonstrated how to work out with his cat. His channel is full of videos of Jacob.

There once was a sad stressed out young man who longed for companionship and unconditional love, but wasn’t sure how to obtain it. He decided to adopt an orange kitten and named him Jacob. Their new friendship spawned hope and happiness, ultimately helping him through major life changes. It wasn’t long before he grew to understand how a fluffy cat could keep him happy even in the darkest of hours.

Honestly I feel the same away about all four of my cats. They’ve been with me through some very tough times, but Luna (a shorthaired ginger like Jacob) is my eldest, having been with me through two moves, a variety of life changes and the vast majority of my adult life. Artemis, Discha and Sophie would join later.

Whew I think that’s the longest intro I’ve ever written but I wanted to put emphasis on Jacob and Travis, as it’s a really wonderful story. Pets can do so much.

Feline Greenies Dental Treats
My cats love treats in general (as you can see in the video below) but they especially love these. We can’t get them here in Southern WV so anytime I do, it really is a treat! :D

Cosmic Catnip Star Toy
The star itself is made with a rubbery type plastic with a slot for the catnip. My only very minor complaint is that the catnip can get everywhere as there’s no way to seal said star, but it’s best to put the catnip in a baggy before putting it in the star. The most popular thing was the strings, which you can see in the video :D

Catnip Frazzled Fairy
The wings are the best part of this (besides being full of catnip!) because they make a crinkly noise that my cats are just drawn to.

Showgirls Feather Toy
Well that’s a fun toy I never knew existed. My cats adore feathers so this was a hit (in the video I forgot to take the backing off before tossing it). It’s really quirky!

Maui Meowi Catnip Carrot
I think this was my favorite item in the box, it’s a catnip filled carrot toy! It definitely made my kids crazy.

Here’s the video of them playing with the toys and eating the treats! Discha has a lion cut right now which is why she’s got a pom pom for a tail. Normally her hair is so long it drags the ground.

Overall I thought Jacob’s Crate was really well done and as you can see in the video, my guys loved everything (or they did once Discha let them play with it). I think this box has a really lovely message about adoption, and I love that they give back to animals in need. The toys and treats were all very high quality too, which I always appreciate. :D

If you’re interested in Jacob’s Crate, they now have a dog version and a blended version for both cats and dogs and you can get it here.

PR Sample. All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
