Yogi Surprise – Jewelry Box August 2016 Review

Yogi Surprise offers two kinds of boxes: the Lifestyle Box and the Jewelry Box.  The Lifestyle Box is $44.95/month and includes 6-8 items.  The Jewelry Box is $24.95/month and includes 2 pieces of jewelry and 1 organic treat.  This is a review of the August Jewelry Box.

This month’s theme is Back to Balance.  They also included a sneak peek for next month: a Sacred Yew Wood & Flower Amazonite Mala.

Each box comes with an information card detailing the three items in the box.  This month, they sent a mala, a bracelet, and some chocolate truffles.

Everything in this month’s box.

White Jade and Golden Agate Rudraksha Mala – I think this is an epic mala.  Rudraksha means Rudra’s/Shiva’s Teardrops and it’s a classic prayer bead.  I also love the white jade and golden agate stones interspersed with the beads.  Totally wearing this “against the body” because “increasing the ability to concentrate, giving clarity and peace of mind, as well as improving memory and relieving stress and anxiety” are exactly what I need right now.

This essential 108 bead mala was crafted using genuine Rudraksha Beads from Bali.  Meditating with a rudraksha mala or wearing rudraksha against the body is believed to increase the ability to concentrate, giving clarity and peace of mind, as well as improving memory and relieving stress and anxiety.

Amazonite and Hemp Courage Bracelet – This was their spoiler item this month.  Amazonite is definitely one of my favorite stones.  I didn’t know before reading the information card that it could block “electromagnetic pollution from cell phones, microwaves, etc.”, which I think makes me like it better.  I also really like the ladder design of the bracelet.

We’ve got a new favorite!  A handcrafted, hemp cord bracelet that beautifully showcases the “Stone of Courage”, Amazonite.  This legendary stone is known to increase self-esteem, promote healing and enhance the ability to communicate more effectively.  Amazonite has even been said to block geopathic stress and absorb electromagnetic pollution from cell phones, microwaves, etc.

The Om charm is actually a button that you insert into the holes.  I like that it’s semi-adjustable because there are two holes.

Here’s what the bracelet looks like opened up.

Coracao Confections Turmeric Spice Boulder – These chocolates are what I call “tasting too healthy for my sweet tooth”.  I like that they’re organic and have low sugar, but they taste too bitter for me.

This insanely low glycemic truffle has 89% less sugar than an apple!  Organic Turmeric with a pinch of white pepper, pairs perfectly with this dark chocolate treat.  It makes for the ultimate guilt free chocolate experience.

Overall, I love this month’s Yogi Surprise.  Both jewelry pieces are beautiful and contain beads that I really like, so this is definitely a win for me from Yogi Surprise.
