Here’s the rundown on Shades Club from my previous reviews. Note that the price of the monthly sub has gone down!
Shades Club is a sunglasses subscription box that delivers quality stylish sunglasses for an affordable price by cutting out the middleman. Here’s the price rundown: a monthly recurring sub will run you $29/month, a 4 month sub $112, a 6 month $162, and a 12 month $288. Gift subs are available. The first box you receive will also contain a fold-up case per the description on the 4, 6, and 12 month subs (though this does not appear in the description for the monthly sub). Shades Club also states that their sunglasses come with a lifetime guarantee in case anything happens to them. When subscribing, you can choose men’s or women’s.
As always, your sunglasses will arrive neatly packed in a small box that fits easily in your mailbox.
April’s theme is “Summer Vacay.” Yeah, it snowed heavily here a couple weeks ago, so forgive me for laughing.
This month features an inspirational quote instead of the possible colorways.
The same images are on the carrying pouch/cleaning cloth.
I love, love, love this decision to change up the pouches, as it helps to identify each month’s shades if you are like me and store them in their pouches in a drawer.
The Summer Vacay shades come in four colorways: The Shore, The Cape, Nantucket, and Montauk. I received The Cape. If I could describe these in one word, it would be fun. The clear and black tortoiseshell print frames are not something that I have personally seen before, and I am ALWAYS a sucker for mirror lenses. I’m super happy to have gotten a funky colorway, as most of the previous shades I have received have been on the more traditional end of the spectrum. As with previous months, I experienced no issues with fit or comfort.
The same quote from the card and the pouch is also present on the insie of the sidepiece!
The Stickman logo is present as always.
Here you can see the style and color variation is printed on the shades as well.
All in all, I enjoyed April’s sunglasses and found them to be fun, fresh, and fashionable. I did also notice that the Summer Vacay shades, as well as some shades from previous months are available for purchase on the Shades Club website. Without a sub, Summer Vacay will run you $75.00, so the subscription does wind up saving you some cash. Interested in Shades Club? Check them out here.
PR Sample. No compensation was received. All opinions are my own. Mirror mirror on the wall, who owns way too many pairs of sunglasses?
