Ellebox is a pad and tampon subscription box that delivers customized boxes of organic feminine hygiene products to you each month. Currently three boxes are available, the Essentials Box ($10.99 – contains 16 pads and/or tampons), the Tween Box ($19.99 – contains 14 pads, 5 pantyliners, 2 misc goodies, chocolate or a snack, and a guide for girls just learning about their periods), and the Comfort Box ($.29.99 – contains 16 pads and/or tampons, chocolate or a snack, tea, and 2 misc items). For the Essentials and Comfort boxes, you can choose to receive either organic pads (regular, overnight, or a mix), organic tampons (regular, super, or a mix), or a mix of both pads and tampons. The box I’ll be reviewing today is the Comfort Box.
I can safely say I have never seen a box seal its contents with a uterus sticker before. It’s a nice touch.
This month’s Period Tip suggests eating bananas to ease PMS symptoms. I suggest eating them because they are delicious. Tomato, tomato.
This month’s info card also contains some details on Menstrual Hygiene Day (May 28th), and encourages you to share a Mother’s Day message with your mom.
On the other side is a list of this month’s items, as well as an add for Ellebox’s referral system.
Up first, 16 Organyc brand tampons. Everyone has their own preference, so not too much to say here.
Element Botanicals Alchemist Cleansing Oil
Contains grapeseed, avocado, and olive oils among many others. According to the little card (which also has a discount code!), this oil can be used as a serum, spot treatment, around the eyes, or as an oil cleanser. The sweet, herbal, and vaguely lavender-y scent was slightly too strong for my sensitive nose for me to want to put this on my face. However, I rubbed it into my very dry hands and it made them quite soft.
Element Botanicals Flora Natural Deodorant
Aluminum, paraben, talc, phthalate, and gluten free (and it’s vegan)! This natural deodorant works very well for those with sensitive skin. The light floral scent was pleasing, and not overly strong. I’m definitely a fan.
Tea Sparrow Organic Peppermint Tea
Love! Super ultra love! I absolutely adore peppermint tea, and this one is no exception. Crushing the leaves like the label suggested really gave it an extra boost of minty goodness. I preferred this tea chilled, but that is usually how I like my peppermint teas.
Truffle Pig Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar
It’s chocolate, it’s peanut butter, it’s delicious, and it’s also sadly long gone. I devoured this treat in roughly 1.9 seconds. The slight bitterness of the chocolate blends wonderfully with the smooth and creamy peanut butter to form a chocolate bar that’s not sickening sweet. My favorite item in the box!
Overall I greatly enjoyed this box, and found it to be a solid mix of hygiene and treats. If you are into organic and natural products, this is definitely a subscription to consider. Now if you will excuse me, I need to order roughly three dozen more of those chocolate bars. Interested in Ellebox? Check it out here.
PR sample. No compensation was received. All opinions are my own. Where do I buy a sheet of uterus stickers?
