Loot Crate – March 2017 Review

Loot Crate is a monthly geek subscription box that often includes figurines, collectibles, and T-shirts.  It costs $13.95 + $6 shipping per month, with discounts for longer subscriptions.  Each month has a different theme.  Every month, it comes in a black box with the Loot Crate logo that can be turned inside out and folded into something related to the theme.  The size varies depending on what’s in the box.  Each month, they send out a survey asking subscribers to rate each item and provide suggestions for future boxes.  They also release digital content each month related to the theme, such as a mini-game, puzzle, or trivia.

This is a review of March’s Loot Crate.

Each box includes a magazine that includes descriptions of all of the items, as well as interviews with the Loot Crate staff and other things.

Here’s the magazine opened to a random page.

The crate also includes a link to some online puzzles.

Everything in this month’s Loot Crate.  This month’s theme is Primal.  This month’s crate includes items from Jurassic WorldOverwatchPredator, and Wolverine.

Each month’s box can be turned into something related to the theme, usually by turning it inside out.  This one turns into this dinosaur.

Exclusive Overwatch Winston Primal Rage T-Shirt – I’m an Xbox One girl but I’ve never played Overwatch, so this shirt isn’t very special to me.  It’s still a pretty cool design though.

Exclusive 100% Die Cast Metal X-men Logan Wolverine Figure – There are three variants: Logan, Old Man Logan, and Raw Adamantium Logan.  I got the original Logan.  Wolverine is one of my favorite characters in X-Men.  I think this metal figurine is really cool.  I seldom love angry facial expressions, but somehow I really like this one.

Loot Crate Edition Jurassic World Warning Sign – It comes with four cable ties to attach it.  I like the Jurassic World movies.  I’m actually thinking about attaching this one to my bike lol.

Exclusive Predator Bottle Opener – This one comes in two variants.  I’ve never seen any of the Predator movies, but a bottle opener is always handy.

This Month’s Pin – I think this is one of the more interesting pins I’ve received from Loot Crate.  The unlocked content this month is a downloadable pack for the mobile trivia game “Party on your Forehead”.

Overall, this is an average crate from Loot Crate.  I like the Wolverine figurine, but none of the other items really impress me.
