Brick Builder’s Club is a monthly box for Lego lovers. Cost is $26.00 for a single box, but there are discounts if you choose to subscribe for three, six, or twelve months. The year long sub is the best deal coming out to $20 per month. Shipping is additional however, even on the year long subscription.

The theme this month was back to school. Some months they can be a little tricky to figure out, but September was pretty obvious.

September’s Brick Builder’s Club box was stuffed full of goodies! They have really found their stride and are filling these boxes with great surprises each month.

Every month there is a witty poster included in the box. It might just be me, but I think they are hilarious! You can tell whoever is curating these boxes has a great techy sense of humor.

Also included every month are five trading cards. They don’t always relate to the theme, but this month they do. I think the artwork is great on these, and I’m always really excited to see them when my box arrives.

There is a t-shirt in every box also. They are just as creative as the posters and the trading cards in my opinion. I think I’m going to turn them all into a blanket.

Most months Brick Builder’s Club includes a booster pack. This is a package of random legos intended to build up your collection. They also include a challenge in the package. You can build the challenge piece for an entry into the monthly drawing for free lego. I almost never get around to building in time, but it’s a great way to help your kids get creative!

The box always includes a Build Book which talks a little about the monthly theme. But more importantly, it includes instructions for the month’s build.

To go along with September’s theme, we built a school bus!

The pieces for the build sometimes come in a resealable blister pack like this month. Other months they have come in bags. I prefer the resealable packs myself. The builds always come out adorable. Here is the school bus from a few angles:

Lately, Brick Builder’s Club has been including extras each month. They can be totally random items that have not been included before (for example, one month there was a slap bracelet) or they can be variations on things that we have seen before (like pins). This month included a couple of extras:

The big extra this month was a level 4 reading book called Team Ninja! I haven’t read it yet, but I do think including a book is a fantastic idea. It’s great to get and keep children reading!

Stickers are a frequent inclusion (but not every time). I love the lego apple core on this one! It fits so well with the back to school theme!

Also included almost every month is a custom lego that has the box name and the month printed on it. I love the idea of something special like that just for subscribers. It’s nice to feel like you’re getting something really exclusive. September’s brick was tough to photograph because of the coloring, but you can try and see it up at the top of this post!

I thought Brick Builder’s Club did a great job staying with the theme this month. As always, the poster was totally my humor, and I loved how the build turned out.

Do you have a little Lego builder in your house? This is definitely a great gift idea! If you’re interested in subscribing, click on over to Brick Builder’s Club and sign up!
