This is a review of their November box.

Leaders Black Out Clear 3 Step Kit ($6, on sale for ~$2-3) – I have been wanting to try this one out for a while. So far, none of the 3-step kits for blackheads I’ve tried have really worked, so I have been using the harsher peel-off nose stripes. Step 1 is the heating gel, which contains grapefruit seed extract and lavender oil, is to lift up blackheads and dirt. Step 2 is the black pore remover pad, which contains peppermint leaf extract, mistletoe extract, sage leaf extract, lavender flower extract, rosemary extract, Matricaria flower extract and tea tree leaf extract, is to remove blackheads and sebum. Step 3 is the nose mask, which contains Matricaria flower extract, peppermint shell extract, and tea tree leaf oil, is to tighten the pores.

The heating gel is in black and has some little particles in it. It has a sweet, candy-like smell and warms up a bit while massaging. The blackheads remover pad (see below pic) has little bumps on the front side. It has a citrus scent. I didn’t see any changes after using step 2…However, I LOVE the nose mask for step 3. It’s a gel-type mask with light alcohol smell. It had some cooling effect while it’s on and my nose felt soft, moisturized, and calmed after use.

Leaders 7 Wonders Sheet Mask in Tundra Cranberry ($7, you can find a box 10 for $16.99 at Marshalls.) – Leaders’s 7 Wonders line is one of my favorite gel sheetmask lines. I have tried at least 4 different ones from this line and loved them all! I actually have never tried the Tundra Cranberry one before. This mask contains coconut fruit extract, sugar maple extract, white hazel extract and cranberry seed oil, and it is to “improve visible lines and wrinkles”, “deeply hydrate skin” and it “leaves skin firm and smooth”. The mask has a light fruity smell. It’s soaked with essence and I had a couple of tea spoons of leftover essence in the package. This is a ultra thin bio-cellulose (or gel) mask, which is my favorite sheetmask type. It fits awesome and attaches like a second skin. I left it on for 40mins and it left my skin feeling soft, plumped, smooth and hydrated.

Missha Love Hand Cream in Edelweiss (~$6.9) – This hand cream contains cherry blossom extract, peony rose, cotton extract, blue daisy extract, and edelweiss flower extract, for soothing, calming, brightening and preventing hyper-pigmentation. It has a really strong floral scent and has a light cream texture. Besides the smell being a bit overwhelming to me, I love how hydrated and soft it makes my skin feel.

Half Moon Eyes Dragon Fruit Wash-Off Mask ($9.99 for pack of 3) – I actually own some of this already. I like that these are single-dose packages, but I actually think each one is almost enough for two uses for me. It doesn’t smell like dragonfruit, but I would say it’s a pleasant light fruity scent. The texture is like a clay mask texture with black particles similar to dragonfruit seeds. When it dries, it warms up and dries to a plaster-like layer. After washing it off, it didn’t leave my skin feeling dry or irritated. When I use it, it makes my skin softer and brighter.

Here is a pic of my dragonfruit and the dragonfruit masks. Is it just me or do the masks look like they are pastes? lol

Lioele Pop Cherry Tint (~$4) – Lip tint!! I’m super happy to see this in my box not only because I’m a lipstick junkie, but also I have never tried any lip products from Lioele. I like their shadow sticks and finishing powder btw. I have mixed feelings toward watery tint like this because they are either hit or miss for me. The tint has a berry scent. The consistency and pigmentation are really good. I also love the color (see the swatch below). It has no lasting power to my surprise. It dripped in my mouth before it’s dry. It has an extremely bitter taste. I also don’t like the application brush, which is super small (like a nail polish wand) and not easy to apply. As much as I like the color and consistency, wouldn’t repurchase this.

Key Beauty has also released their first December box spoiler.

Overall, I’m happy about the selection of products in this box. The leaders masks are really popular right now. I also like that they included a sheetmask, a wash-off mask, a nose care product, a lip tint and a hand cream. And I end up liking most of them. However, I’m a little concerned about the pricing. With all the Asian beauty subscription boxes out there, I think it’s really hard to sell this box for $25 plus shipping.

If you’re interested in Key Beauty Monthly, you can get one . Don’t forget to use code THANKS10 for 10% off your first 1 or 3-month subscription.
