This is the review of their launching November box.
Everything in the crate.
They have included a magazine with translations & tutorials for the products.
The magazine is pretty thorough.
Nonkuma x Hello Kitty Eye Patch – There are 8 patches included in this set. I love the cute Hello Kitty packaging and design of the patches. These eye patches are supposed to “improve circulation with heat”. “The heat helps break up congestion in the sinus cavity and refreshes the skin with improved circulation.” I like that it’s reusable. They made me feel a little bit warm, but I didn’t notice any other effects.
Naive Peach Face Wash – I almost got this cleanser in my local Asian market a couple weeks ago when it was on sale, but I didn’t because I realized I had cleansers to finish. Still, I was super excited to receive this in this box. It did not smell like peach, but it had some kind of fermented smell. It foamed well and did a good job cleansing when I used it. However, it left my skin feeling kind of dry. I was happy to try this one out, but I definitely won’t repurchase.

Hotto Mie Eye Mask – This mask is an air activated hot eye mask. I think it’s a pretty special thing to receive in a beauty subscription box. It comes in a box of 5 packs, each one with a different design. The package says it heats to 40C (104F). I felt pretty hot but not enough to make me uncomfortable. The part that did make me uncomfortable was that the eye holes are EXTREMELY small, so the hard edges kept poking the area around my eyes. (You can get a feeling from the following picture.)
Here’s the eye mask removed from its packaging.
Yuzu Bath Tablets – Yuzu is one of my favorite ingredients in skincare. It’s very common in a lot of Japanese cosmetics. I didn’t try this one because I’m going to gift it to someone.
Family Honey Soap – This was one of their spoiler items. I was hoping that it would smell like honey, but it actually smells just like regular soap. It foams really well, and it also has some cooling effect. My skin felt soft and smooth after using it.
Here’s what the bar of soap looks like.
Puresmile Cherry Blossom Essence Mask – I have had some bad experiences with Japanese sheet masks, but this one surprised me. It’s a thick cotton mask, but the material is really soft. It has a light floral scent mixed with a hint of alcohol smell. It fits very well except that it’s a little bit short on the forehead area for me. The adhesion is awesome. The mask was soaked with essence and there was some essence leftover in the package as well. I left it on for about 30 minutes and my skin felt soft, hydrated, and calmed. This is definitely a mask that I’m going to be on the lookout for.
Choosy Lip Pack: Peach – This is another item I’ve been eyeing for a while. I’ve always been looking for good lip masks. I like the Laneige lip sleeping mask but haven’t really found a good lip gel mask. It says peach on the package. I’m not sure whether it’s supposed to smell like peach, but it doesn’t. (Why do none of the peach products smell like peach?) The biggest problem with lip gel masks is that their adhesion is generally pretty bad, so you have to lie down to get them to stay, but this one is different. It attaches to my lips pretty tightly, as you might be able to see in the picture below. My lip definitely felt softer and moisturized after use. I think it’s really funny that the package says when you’re done with the mask, you can use it to cover certain parts of your body lol.

Super Exta Eyelashes – It seems like there are four designs of these and each subscriber gets one at random. Of course I received the one that’s WAY too dramatic for me to use for any occasion (not like I usually use falsies). I’d be happy to send this to any of my friends who want it. I do like that they included an eye makeup tutorial in the magazine.
Overall, I think this is a pretty good launch box for what I paid for it (I used a $10 off coupon), based on the varieties of products that they included, including daily care, cosmetics, “pamper”, and bath/spa. However, I wouldn’t pay the original $29 price for it, and I don’t think the items are worth anywhere close to the $50+ they claim in their box description.
