Scentbird is a monthly designer’s perfume subscription box. For $14.95/month (with discounts for longer subscriptions) they will send you an 8mL spray sample of a men’s or women’s perfume of your choice. They will give you a quiz about your likes/dislikes and give you a recommendation page based on them. You can get your second month FREE through this link.
I really like the idea that you try the designers’ perfume first before buying since the full size ones are usually pretty expensive. The scentbird sample is enough supply for one month if you use one or two sprays a day, so, you have a month a decide whether you like it or want to spend $80 for the full size one or not. Plus you get to wear different designers’ perfumes each month.
Everything in my January Scentbird box/bag.
On your first month, they send you a black case with a velvet drawstring bag. These didn’t come with this box; I still have them from when I originally signed up. You can get additional cases for $12.95. At first, they only offered black and red cases, but now they have more colors available (See below pictures). I think the actual colors are lighter than in the pictures. I got the violet and the aquamarine one.
Every month, they send you a card with a blogger/vlogger’s recommendation for a perfume for next month. The recommended perfume for February is Goutte De Rose by Cartier. The main notes are rose, woodsy notes, amber and vanilla. If you don’t choose your perfume for next month by the 5th, you will receive the perfume of the month. You can also queue several perfumes so that you don’t have to worry about it every month.
This month, they sent out a card introducing their new “A La Carte” service, which you can:
-Choose any perfume you want. Each spray is just $16.95 + shipping.
-Free shipping if you order 3 sprays or more.
-Cases sold separately.
This month, my pick is Emporio Armani Diamonds by Giorgio Armani. The main notes are: Litchi, raspberry, vanilla, rose and amber. It has a very refreshing scent to it, which I like. I can’t really smell the fruity scents, but definitely floral. I just wish it had a bit less of the alcohol scent. It is a very good “everyday” type of perfume for me.
Here is how it’s described on scentbird’s website:
The sensory blend is a surprising gourmand fragrance to give a stone a flavour and to a woman a self confident and audacious feeling.
On scentbird’s website, they also provide you main notes of each perfume with pictures and customer rated scent type, personality, occasion and season suitable for wearing each specific one. Above picture is for Emporio Armani Diamonds by Giorgio Armani.
