Yogi Surprise – Jewelry Box October 2015 Review

Yogi Surprise offers two kinds of boxes: the Lifestyle Box and the Jewelry Box.  The Lifestyle Box is $44.95/month and includes 6-8 items.  The Jewelry Box is $24.95/month and includes 2 pieces of jewelry and 1 organic treat.  This is a review of the October Jewelry Box.

Each box comes with an information card detailing the three items in the box. This month, they stopped marking prices for the items in the box, which I think it’s ok since they used to mark the prices of the jewelries to much higher. This month they sent a necklace, a bracelet and a chocolate.

Taza Chocolate Salted Almond Chocolate Mexicano ($5 on Taza’s website and $3.6 estimated from Amazon) – It has two chocolate discs in each package, which are “hand-carved with organic, raw and single origin Dominica cocoa using traditional hand-carve granite millstones.” They are vegan and gluten-free. I usually don’t care about food items in non-food subscription boxes as you may have known by now, but I was eager to try this since it has nuts in it. (I love nuts!! :P) I like the very fine grained but crunchy almonds in it and it has just the right balance of sweet and salty tastes to it. This might have been one of my favorite treats in all of my subscription boxes.

Labradorite Pendant Necklace ($7 – 15 on Amazon) – I couldn’t find the exact ones on Amazon, but similar ones cost ranging from $7 to $15. There was a sneak peek of this necklace in last month’s box. I was pretty excited about it since I never had a necklace like this. According to the description, “[l]abradorite is known to strengthen faith and trust in oneself by relieving fears and insecurities while boosting self-esteem, patience, and creativity.” The silver chain is about 26″ long and you can adjust the length too. I matched it with my V-neck grey color jumpsuit with silver flower prints. I think it will work great with most solid color sweaters too.

Amazonite Stone Hamsa Hand Bracelet (~$8 on Amazon) – The description says that amazonite “is deeply stimulating to the Heart Chakra, inspiring truth openness and self-love” and “[t]he added Hamsa hand charm is intended to inspire strength in difficult situations as it offers protection against the ‘evil eye'”.  I have a similar one made of rose quartz without the Hamsa hand. I like this one, but it’s not my favorite. I hope it really offers protection against the “evil eye” though because my rose quartz one doesn’t have that.

Overall, this month’s yogi surprise jewelry box is good. It doesn’t have an amazing value, but I like the curation. Surprisingly, I like the chocolate too!
