YesStyle – Korean Beauty Sample Box Review

YesStyle has always been a leader in the fashion market with their adorable and well priced clothing, but they also have a small beauty section filled with various samples and choices. Nifty.

YesStyle Korean Beauty Sampler Box
18.90$ – One Time Box
Ships directly from Korea

YesStyle’s beauty section is basically conditioned to be more of an extensive mystery box sampling program, with multiple options and types. They have pouches for Japanese and Korean Beauty, each with a limited number of samples and at different price points. I managed to buy four different offerings, this box, a 10 pack sampler with no box, and two pouches. They also have a sampler box that’s nothing but Etude House related. (Side Note: Don’t buy the pouches, they’re just tiny foil packets)

From YesStyle,
“Each box contains an assortment of ten (10) product samples from popular Korean brands including Skinfood, Etude House, Innisfree, Missha, Laneige and more. The assortment includes two (2) sheet masks as well as anti-aging, skincare, makeup, body, bath and hair samples in vials, tubes and small containers.”

Each box is completely random so mine may not look anything like yours. There is also no info card because yeah, random.

TonyMoly Mask, Etude House Mugwort Mask, SkinFood Egg White Pack
Sheet masks and a sample pack of a nose strip. Nothing too exciting, though if you count masks as full size items, you’ll be pleased.

Etude House Milky You One Step Cleansing Foam, Banila Co Clean it Zero
The cleansing foam smells exactly like the “milk” scent is expected to smell; exactly like perfumed vanilla. I do like cleansing foams so this will get used. The banila co I’m about 99.91% certain has been in every single Korean Beauty box in existence so far. It’s an oil based cleanser that melts once it gets on your hands/face/chosen region for makeup removal.

IOPE BIO Essence Conditioning Trial Kit
When they say “10 samples” they literally mean 10 samples, as this little trial box counted as 5. Yep, including the cotton pads. IOPE is an expensive Korean brand though so getting this is pretty nice. The sample sizes aren’t too great as the little packets are one time use and the essence isn’t too large. Overall it’s a good kit to get a feel for the IOPE brand, but not much else.

Overall the YesStyle boxes are good for Korean Beauty starters, or more for discovery style kits. The price may be a bit on the higher side for this type of box, but with mystery boxes in general, you’re setting yourself up for a risk. There are very usable items in this set, all from popular or pricey brands. I don’t know that I’d buy this particular box again, especially since we have other contenders such as Mishibox for a lower price point, but we’ll see. Maybe in the future (come on it’s a mystery box we all know those are like sugar to me).
