3b (beauty beyond borders) is one of my favorite boxes since it debuted this past December. It’s intended as a sampler but you get quite a few full size items. You all know by now how much I adore my Asian beauty brands so when 3b debuted at 12$ a month for 4-5 different items, I was all over that bidnis.

*Waitlist
This box is totally my jam. This box ships in waves depending on your sign up date (I believe I’m in wave 2 since I see so many other bloggers get theirs before me), and very shortly after their launch they instituted a rather lengthy waitlist. From what I’m hearing, there are people that have been on the waitlist for months, since 3b grew at an exponential rate in an incredibly short time.
3b is a newer US based subscription box that sends out around 4 Asian beauty items each month. Items range between full size and sample. They’re working on doing an international option too, but it looks like it’s taking them awhile. So far I’ve reviewed all the 3b boxes since their debut, and you can find those here.
Each 3b bag comes in a purple mesh bag. They arrive in standard white usps boxes.
Each 3b box comes with an info card that details the items and how to use them. They greatly encourage feedback, including your preferred brands.
Too Cool for School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack
I’m about 92% sure I have the full size of this pack thanks to the Pumpkin Pie Memebox (not reviewed, still hanging out on my kitchen table and very badly neglected), and it does smell exactly like you’re slathering a pumpkin pie on your face, cinnamon and all. I also have an unnatural affinity for sleeping packs. This one is more thicker, like actual pumpkin pie filling too.
Sulwahasoo Essential Balanacing Water and Emulsion
Oooo Sulwahasoo is a pretty pricey brand (if I remember right it’s one of the luxury/semi-luxury brands), and these smell like fresh picked flowers meet fresh picked tangerines. I’m not too partial to the floral scent but I like the way the emulsion works. It’s very calming to dry skin. An emulsion is just a lightweight moisturizer and should be one of the first steps in your skincare routines; I like emulsions just fine but I find that they don’t hydrate nearly as well as a full on heavy duty moisturizer (like the TonyMoly Appletox) does. The balancing water reminds me a lot of my precious insobeau, but it’s much more expensive.
Holika Holika Daily Garden Lip and Eye Remover – Olive
This is more suited to waterproof makeup, something I don’t wear because it does have a tendency to stay on despite even the best cleansers. That being said, I’m not crazy about the scent of this. It’s very, very strongly olive oil scented and it just a little too overpowering. I do love cleansers though, but this one will be passed on to a lady that will use it.
Holika Holika Juicy Shine Lip Balm – Raspberry
I am in love! I mentioned in February’s review that I’ll typically like a box much more if it contains one makeup item to offset all the skincare, and it looks like they listened, because this is such a lovely, versatile item. The color is only slightly sheer, and the balm has very minute shimmer. Overall I really love it, the only problem is mine arrived broken; the twist part was completely detached from the base. It looks like it happened in manufacturing, plus it was still sealed when I got it so it’s nothing on 3b’s end. It’s still usable, just gotta be a wee bit more careful when opening it.
I’m really digging this months offerings. The only thing I won’t use is the olive makeup remover, but I can pass it on to a lady I know will use it so it’s still technically a win. That balm is easily one of my favorite items from 3b too, and as always, I love the variety in brands.
If interested in 3b, they currently have a waitlist but you can sign up by clicking here.
