Gramma in a Box- October 2018

Gramma in a Box is a subscription box service which includes baked cookies (with sprinkles and frosting to decorate) and two additional food crafts. Each box includes step-by-step instructions and illustrations on how to complete your projects. Gramma in a Box is only $20 a month and shipping is free everywhere in the U.S. Use promo code: 10off to receive $10 off your first month for a 3, 6, or 12 month prepaid membership.

For this month’s review, I am testing out the October 2018 box. The theme is Halloween, of course!!! So there were some spooktacular food craft challenges.

One of my favorite things about Gramma in a Box, are the personal touches. The box was covered in Halloween themed stickers. It also had a ‘best by’ date to guide you for your timeline on completing your tasks.

Opening the box is always my favorite part! I love a good surprise.

The card explains Gramma’s theme:

The first project is Oreo Spiders. This project required pretzel sticks, oreos, melting chocolate, and candied eyes. Gramma’s instruction sheet includes fun hints and notes in red to help you with your projects.

I found this task to be simple and delicious (but Oreos ARE my favorite cookie)! Look how cute these turned out:

Project two was titled Monster Bark.

This task required gummy worms, cocoa cereal, candied bones, and the left over melting chocolate. I wish this box contained more cereal because mine didn’t turn out as thick as the one pictured. However, I probably had too much chocolate left over from the first project so you should always use your best judgement here!

The third and final project was decorating Halloween Cookies. Gramma provides you with several colors of frosting and different sprinkles.

This project lets you use your imagination to create whatever designs your heart desires. If you follow Gramma in a Box on Instagram or Facebook, you’ll see she also provides helpful hints and decoration tips in the form of videos on her pages. (I recently stumbled upon a video where you can make a cool pattern with a toothpick).

As you can see, I had some fun with these! And they taste amazing.

Overall, I always enjoy discovering a new Gramma in a Box at my doorstep. Gramma provides everything you need to complete three fun and easy food crafts. I love that she also provides parchment paper and step by step instructions to limit any mess and confusion.

I highly recommend Gramma in a Box for families. This makes a perfect holiday gift for the whole family to enjoy. And believe me, making them is ALMOST as fun as eating them!

This box was a PR sample. No compensation was received for this review. All opinions are my own.
