This is a review of August’s box.  The above picture shows everything in this month’s box.

This month, they stopped sending their signature box.  Instead, they put everything in an Ipsy-like gold foil mailer.  They included 6 sheet masks, a nose strap, and a mysterious compressed mask.

A’Pieu Banana Milk One Pack (~$1) – This is the fifth variety of Milk One Packs that I’ve tried.  I loved all five I’ve tried.  It contains 2000 ppm banana extract for nourishing and royal jelly extract for moisturizing and soothing.  The mask sheet, like usual, is a bit on the thicker side but it’s very soft.  The general fit is really good on my face.  I had a little bit of the milky essence left over.  The mask certainly smells like banana.  After a 30 minute masking session, my skin felt soft and plumped without any irritation.  I would definitely repurchase this mask.

Leaders Insolution Illuminating Treatment Mask (~$3) – This is not a new mask to me.  I’ve tried this one a few times before.  This mask contains glycerin, betaine, niacinamide, portulaca oleracea extract, chamomile, and sodium hyaluronate for skin moisturizing, brightening, and dark spot lightening.  The mask came out of the packaging soaked with essence and I had some left over.  I didn’t notice any scent.  The general fit and attachment were really good.  I had this mask on for about 40 minutes.  My skin felt moisturized and soft afterwards.  I didn’t sense much of a brightening effect.

Mediheal Whitening Smart Mask (~$2.50) – I’ve tried a lot of Mediheal masks, but this one is new to me so I was excited to try it.  It’s a two-step mask.  The first step is the mask base ampoule, which I believe replaces toner.  The mask contains vitamin C-AA2G, niacinamide, morus alba bark extract, licorice extract, and punica granatum extract for improving dark and dull looking skin.  It also contains arbutin for skin whitening.  The ampoule in the first step appears to be a clear gel with no scent.  It absorbed quickly into my skin.  The mask came out of the packaging soaked with essence.  It was also unscented.  It had a really nice fit on my skin.  I had it on for about 40 minutes.  After removing the mask, my skin felt moisturized and I could see the brightening effect; however, my face felt some of the stickiness.

Itibiti Yogurt Mask Pack (~$2) – This mask has been on my wish list forever.  I grew up with Yakult so I was super curious about what a mask that looked like Yakult would be like.  This mask contains yogurt and “lactic acid bacteria fermented extract” for moisture and nutrition supply.  It also contains lemon, pomegranate, and apple extracts and adenosine to help with wrinkles.  It definitely smells like Yakult.  The mask material is very soft and thin.  It was soaked with essence with some left over in the packaging.  The general fit is not bad; however, the eyes and mouth holes are really big.  I had this one on for about 50 minutes before it started to dry out.  My skin felt hydrated and smooth afterwards.

Mediheal Acai Berry Mask (~$1)- This is the third variety of this line from Mediheal that I’ve tried.  This one contains euterpe oleraca fruit extract and blueberry fruit extract for boosting skin radiance, soothing, and moisturizing.  The mask is made with Tencel sheet.  It actually surprised me that it did not have any scent.  The mask came out of the packaging wet but not soaked with essence.  The attachment was okay.  I had the mask on for about 30 minutes and my skin felt moisturized and smooth, but like the other varieties I’ve tried from the same line, it’s just an okay mask for me.

Innisfree Strawberry It’s Real Squeeze Mask (~$1) – This is yet another mask that’s from a series I’ve tried but in a flavor I haven’t tried.  It contains niacinamide, grapefruit extract, and strawberry fruit extract for skin smoothing and brightening.  I think I’ve mentioned this a few times but I don’t usually get strawberry-related masks because I don’t like artificial strawberry scent.  This one actually smells pretty refreshing, so I don’t have a problem with the scent.  The mask came out of the packaging wet but not soaked with essence.  I didn’t have much left over.  I had the mask on for about 25 minutes and my skin felt moisturized and smooth.  I think it’s not bad for a simple and affordable mask like this.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Nose Pack (~$0.75) – I love nose straps.  I’ve tried numerous nose straps from different brands, but this is my first time trying this one.  It contains 1000ppm jeju volcanic clay for blackhead removal.  I find it hard to understand that they made it smell like lavender.  Besides the fact that I’m not a big fan of lavender scent, I’m not sure why you would want volcanic clay to smell like lavender.  Was it effective?  Kind of.  It did remove my blackheads; however, it left my nose and surrounding area with pink colored clay, so I had to redo my cleansing steps to clear that off.  I wouldn’t say this is my favorite nose pack.

Mysterious Compressed Mask (~$0.05) – They included a single pack compressed mask.  I could use it for soaking some of my essence and doing a DIY mask session.

Overall, the theme of this month seems to be brightening and whitening, which is pretty good for me for the summer.  They included several new (to me) flavors of famous masks.  I was really happy to try all of them.  I would definitely repurchase the Banana Milk One Pack out of the six sheet masks.
