Rocksbox – June 2017 Review

Rocksbox is a jewelry rental subscription service.  It costs $19/month to rent 3 pieces of jewelry.  You can return them at any time, with free shipping, to receive a new set, or purchase one or more of the pieces at a discounted price.  Each month, you get $21 in Shine Credit that can be used towards purchasing their jewelry. This is a review of June’s box.

Everything in this month’s Rocksbox.

Each box includes a personalized information card describing the 3 pieces of jewelry in the set.  You can rate the jewelry you receive so they know what to send you next time. I really like that.

Nakamol Dark Blue Mixed Wrap Bracelet (member’s price $62) – This is the item I’ve been eyeing on their site for a while.  I actually put a bunch of wrap bracelets on my wishlist because I want to try out a few variations to see which one I like best.  This is the first one they sent me and it’s a huge success.  I love the combination of blue and black tones.  My only problem with this bracelet is that, if you buckle the bracelet at the first hole (see below picture), there’s a long bulky tail left on the bracelet.  To fix this, I folded the end back into the first hole so that there isn’t such a long tail.

Perry Street Brinley Necklace (member’s price $63) – Perry Street isn’t my favorite brand for jewelry if you’ve read my reviews from a few months back, but I have to say this piece is really beautiful.  It’s a statement piece, but the design is very simple and I love the iridescent colors.  I also love that there are three droplet-like beads on each side to transition between the chain and the larger beads.

Slate Layla Fringe Pendant in Gold (member’s price $40) – I really like Slate as a brand.  Most of the pieces I’ve owned or rented from them are very simple and classic, and so is this one.  I like tassels, and I also like the chevron design of the beads.  I would also like to try the version of this with a silver chain and darker beads.

Overall, I’m really happy with this month’s Rocksbox selection for me.  All three pieces are on my wishlist.  I think my favorite piece of the three is definitely the wrap bracelet.
