Raw Spice Bar sends three incredibly fresh spice packets and matching recipes every month.

They always pick a geographical region and curate their kits accordingly.

This month, the theme was Valencia flavors.

Raw Spice Bar sent a vegan and a shrimp paella recipe this month. I love how they cater to many diets and tastes.

This Paella Spice blend is seriously delicious. I am obsessed with the smoky paprika combined with a touch of saffron. I would buy this in a big ol’ shaker. FYI: if you make the vegan paella, give yourself an extra twenty minutes or so at the end. Mine seemed to take forever. Worth it, though.

Oh my goodness, this Pimento Bloody Mary blend is spicy! Raw Spice Bar included a Pimento Bloody Mary Soup recipe, but I opted to make a bruschetta with a touch of this bad boy. It was yummy! My husband pretty much covered his whole plate with the leftover Pimento Bloody Mary and asked for more.

I love flavored salts; they are so easy to use! I added some of this Red Wine Sea Salt to olive oil roasted red potatoes.  Mmmmm.

I mostly love this salt because the color is so pretty.

I ended up setting the extra Red Wine Salt and Pimento Bloody Mary next to the bruschetta topping. They worked well as finishing spices, and my little one, who is sensitive to heat, was grateful.

Raw Spice Bar always introduces my family to something new. They have simple and complicated recipes, so I can decide to spend an extra minute adding a fun salt to our standard potatoes or a whole afternoon on fancy rice. For 8 bucks, you really can’t beat it. You can subscribe, or browse their extensive recipe collection HERE. Use code freshspices to get your first kit for $4.00.

I live in Utah with my carnivorous husband, three swell daughters, and two semi-trained dogs at the base of some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Sometimes I write for money, but usually I just play Candy Crush.

I am a vegan, homeschooling mom who might be a tad obsessed with subscription boxes. My infatuation is evidenced by my uncanny ability to recognize the sound of my mail carrier’s truck engine. I’d like to say don’t judge me, but if I were you, I’d judge me. I love vegan/eco-friendly, literary and thoughtfully curated boxes.
