Lootcrate offers a variety of subscription boxes. Their Sanrio Small Gift Crate is a quarterly Sanrio subscription box. It costs $34.95 + $5 shipping per quarter, with discounts for longer subscriptions, and includes “EXCLUSIVE collectibles and apparel, including kawaii figures, adorable accessories and more Sanrio goodies every quarter! A $75 value in every crate!”
This is a review of December’s crate.
The box was pretty beaten up when I got it, but I still almost couldn’t handle the cuteness of the packaging. The Hello Kitty bubble tag was not actually glued on; it was in the corner and a little bit squished, so it took me some time to restore it and recreate this image.
In typical Lootcrate fashion, the box can be turned inside out.
Everything in this month’s Sanrio Small Gift.
The folded thing on the left is actually the information card. Eeeek!
This is the cutest information card EVER in the subscription box world!
This crate features “Hello Sanrio” items, which is “one of Sanrio’s newest offerings, connecting fans to the world of Sanrio characters and to each other”.
Hello Sanrio Notebook – It’s a semi-hardcover notebook with a spring binding, which is my favorite binding for any book. The size is perfect for carrying around.
It includes this puff sticker sheet. A few of them are printed a little bit off center, but they’re still cute.
The inside of the notebook is also printed.
Lootcrate Exclusive Hello Kitty Sparkle Figure – OMG OMG OMG!!! This was their one and only spoiler item for this box, and in fact they released the spoilers after I subscribed, but I’m just beyond happy that this is in the box because I love Hello Kitty and sparkles and, as many of you know, I love collectible figurines. The figure is a bit smaller than an average Funko Pop, but it’s really heavy. I thought it was made of ceramic when I first opened it. This one is going to be the most conspicuously displayed one in my room for a while.
Hello Sanrio Pocket Tee – Yes, a T-shirt! From now on I’m going to be carrying Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, Pompompurin, My Melody, Keroppi, Chococat, and Pochacco in my pocket. I like that the design is simple but still cute and not overdone.
Lootcrate Exclusive Hello Kitty Bag Charm – I love metal bag charms! I also love dangling things on my bags, so this will go right to my favorite tote bag.
The bag charm removed from its packaging.
On the left is the bubble tag that came with the crate. There are several variants with different Sanrio characters.
Hello Sanrio Friends Pen – This is a black ink pen with a little chain charm featuring Hello Kitty, Kerokeroppi, and Chococat. So cute!
Hello Sanrio Pouch – MY FAVORITE ITEM OF THE BOX!!!!! Disclaimer: I love all the items, but as a bag/pouch freak and the biggest Sanrio fan, a pouch with a golden bow and all of my favorite characters on it is just perfect for me. I like that it has some depth, which is my favorite design for a pouch. I think I will use this to carry around my cosmetics.
It comes with this detachable charm, so you can remove it and put it anywhere you want if you don’t feel like carrying it around.
Hello Sanrio Scented Erasers – The erasers came in the cutest and tiniest jar. I actually thought these were candies before I opened the jar.
The jar holds 9 character mini-erasers. Awwwweeeee! They are also strawberry scented.
Overall, I’m super happy with the first Lootcrate x Sanrio crate. I absolutely love everything they included in the crate, and it’s definitely worth the amount I paid for it. It took long enough for Lootcrate and Sanrio to have a collaboration, and I’m so glad they did. The combination of collectibles, stationery, and accessories is the perfect way to curate a cute box for me and I can’t wait to see what they bring for the next crate.
