The yarn this month is this beautiful Sock-a-Rino in Bubblegum Ice-cream by Joma Yarn.

We are an indie dyer team based in Victoria, BC Canada. Our luxurious yarns are spun by a reputable Canadian mill, kettle dyed using professional grade acid dyes and brought to life with the vibrant colours of multiple layers and baths that would bring any box of crayons to its knees. We create rich, flowing, one of a kind colour paths with short and unpredictable repeats for unique, exquisite yarn crafting experiences.

3-2This yarn sells for $30.00 plus shipping, so the cost of this box has already been covered! It is made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. I’m obsessed with the colorway. I think every friendship bracelet I have every made has been in these colors.

Since I have ruined more than one knitted item in my washer, I think this sample of Soak Wash in Pineapple Grove is perfect for knitters! Ideal for hand-washing, it also smells lovely!

Pineapple Grove: Be a pineapple. Stand Tall, wearing a lily filled crown, and always be sweet on the inside.

The pattern included this month is for these Credit River Socks by Joanna Rankin.

Aren’t they stunning?

This pattern was inspired by the undulating waves flowing over the rocks in the Credit River. The lacy cable stitch pattern is a lot of fun to knit!

Because I am a novice knitter at best, and because my mom just asked for a scarf in blues, I took the easy way out decided to knit an simple (but pretty!) lace scarf. I’ll have time to finish it before Christmas. Plus, I am in need of a relaxing project while I watch the new Gilmore Girls this weekend.

That said, I am definitely challenging myself to making those beautiful socks in 2017!

I live in Utah with my carnivorous husband, three swell daughters, and two semi-trained dogs at the base of some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Sometimes I write for money, but usually I just play Candy Crush.

I am a vegan, homeschooling mom who might be a tad obsessed with subscription boxes. My infatuation is evidenced by my uncanny ability to recognize the sound of my mail carrier’s truck engine. I’d like to say don’t judge me, but if I were you, I’d judge me. I love vegan/eco-friendly, literary and thoughtfully curated boxes.
