There are three options: 3 months for $79, includes an extra toy, 6 months for $139 includes extra toy, or 12 months for $259 which also includes the extra toy. Not interested in the extra toy? Boxes are curated around a theme and options are available for different sized dogs. More importantly, if your pup has special needs or tastes, you can drop Barkbox a note and they will be sure to accommodate you. My pug Pia cannot eat beef, chicken, or gluten. She will get terrible ear infections if we fall of the diet wagon. I told Barkbox it’s ok to send some things she can’t have since Artie has no restrictions, but they are still very careful to include only things they can both enjoy. That says so much about them as a company!

This month’s theme was camp, and I’m so impressed with how well it was curated! I’ll stop blabbing and show you the goods.

First look!

All boxes include an info card:

Barkbox also always comes with at least one toy. This month there were two, which is awesome for Artie and P. Everyone gets a toy!

First toy:

Can you tell what it is??? It’s a s’more! A squeaky, plushy S’MORE! Artie loved it and has been running around the house with it since I finished taking photos.

Artie approved.

Second toy:

This is so perfect with the camping theme! It’s one of those army knives with the knife, fork, and spoon inside. Hilarious! It’s a toy obviously, so the parts don’t actually move. I thought this was great anyway. Pia thought it was ok…

Nice toy. Where are the treats?

Barkbox also comes with delicious snacks. This is where it really gets personalized if you have a special needs pup. This month we received two bags of treats, and again I was amazed at how they followed the theme.

The first bag is a venison treat. We haven’t tried these yet, but I’m sure they’re tasty… You know. If you’re a dog.

The other treats were bison. They’re called Campfire Cookies which obviously fits perfectly with the camp theme! We haven’t opened these yet either, but I know the kids will love them. I may give these just to Artie, I’m not sure if Bison is too similar to beef for Miss P.

There was also a duck chew, but I gave it to Artie before I took photos. Sorry about that. He said it was delicious, and he hopes they send them again soon!

I loved this month’s box. I don’t know where they find so many items to fit the theme so perfectly (maybe they actually have them made? I’m not sure) but I’m impressed every month. Both dogs seem to really love the toys, they seem to pull Barkbox toys from Toy Mountain most frequently. I definitely recommend this sub if you want to spoil your fur-baby.
