Geek Fuel is a geek & gamer themed subscription box that always contains a fun exclusive t-shirt (both men’s and women’s sizes available S-3XL) and a Steam code, as well as an assortment of other goodies (books, mugs, ice cube molds). It seems that Geek Fuel has gone towards sending fewer items, but what you do get is now better quality/ of higher value.

Lately it seems as though the contents are packed in much neater too.

Five items, no filler.

The t-shirt is almost always my favorite part of the box.

Uh, I didn’t like this game. It’s been a long time since I’ve played SRPGs, but this isn’t one I can really recommend. The story and voice acting are pretty subpar, and not even in a so-bad-it’s-good sort of way.  At best, it’s generic. At worst, buggy.

Admittedly, my knowledge of Doctor Who stems entirely from the 9000 fandom posts per day that show up on my tumblr dashboard. That being said, this GF exclusive is pretty sweet looking.

Phew, something I can open. These coasters are boss, even if you’re not hardcore into Doctor Who. The bottom right one is my favorite!

This is basically a giant POP, it’s even made by Funko. I STILL CANNOT UNSEE A :3 FACE, HELP.

A super shiny Captain America sticker! It goes along well with the mini mag this month.

This month’s issue is promoting the new Captain America movie, which I’ve been dying to see ever since it was announced to be following the Civil War storyline. YES, PLEASE.

Yes, that is a $700 Iron Man lamp. No, that won’t stop me from ordering it one day. I think I need those bookends too.

Yes, that is Captain America and Iron Man from the image on the mini mag cover reimagined as Rock’em Sock’em Robots. Yes, it is my new favorite Geek Fuel shirt. Yes, there is also a Daredevil reference on it. Best item in the box, hands down.

April’s box was pretty solid, despite me not liking Fallen: A2P Protocol. As Star Wars, Doctor Who, and various Marvel fandoms have been featured multiple times now, I’m hoping that future boxes will focus on some others now. I’d also really like to see more “gamer” items. Give me something Final Fantasy, or SMT related and I’ll probably drop dead on the spot. Since April’s box featured Captain America: Civil War, I wonder if May’s box will feature the other big May movie release, X-Men: Apocalypse. Fingers crossed!

PR Sample. Referral links. No compensation was received. All opinions are my own. The world would be a better place with more giant robot fights.
